Hello Guys,
I have recently been admitted to the MIM at ESSEC and INSEAD. I'm having a hard time deciding between the two and I was hoping you guys could help me out.
A bit about myself:
I have recently graduated in mechanical engineering from India and am currently working in my family's automotive business. Going forward, I aspire to get into management consulting immediately after my masters and eventually venture into entrepreneurship or expand my family back in India.
Both of these programs seem like really good options but, of course, have their advantages and disadvantages.
For Eg. INSEAD's program is just 10 months and is very new. But INSEAD has one of the strongest brand names and is considered the go-to place for consulting. Furthermore, I love INSEAD's focus on developing a global perspective by studying across three continents during the course. On the other hand, ESSEC MIM is one of the oldest and most prestigious programs.
Since I am a fresher, I believe a two-year program such as ESSEC's will provide me more time to learn and prepare myself for the job market. However, since I also plan on returning to India eventually, I feel, INSEAD has an edge over ESSEC, as it can provide me better opportunities outside Europe in the longer run.
Do you guys have any advice/recommendations on choosing the right school (Excluding the financial aspect)?
I would highly welcome and appreciate your inputs
