Hi, I’m planning to apply for the ISB PGP and would really appreciate your honest assessment of my profile and guidance on the GMAT score I should target.

My journey has been quite unconventional. I started my career as a hairstylist, and over time, through continuous self-learning and upskilling, I transitioned into the corporate world. I completed my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University, with 83.33% in 10th, 65.6% in 12th, and 64.71% in graduation.

Today, I have around 3 years of professional experience and currently work as a Consulting Analyst at GlobalData, where I work on business and industry analysis, modelling, forecasting and strategic insights, particularly across the TMT and emerging technology space.

Alongside my professional journey, I am also a co-founder and Vice President of a Central Government-registered NGO, which has given me meaningful experience beyond my corporate career.

Given my unconventional transition from hairstyling to a corporate consulting role, academic background, professional experience and extracurricular journey, I would like to understand how competitive my profile would be for the ISB PGP.

Could you please review my profile and advise:

1. How strong is my profile for ISB PGP?
2. What GMAT score should I ideally target to have a strong chance of admission?
3. Are there any particular areas of my profile that I should strengthen before applying?

Would love to be a part of this. To give a brief about my profile, I did my schooling from Delhi. I got 8.6 CGPA in class 10th and 93.4% in class 12th, and I did my graduation from BITS Pilani, where I got 7.58 CGPA. I have 4 years of experience working as a consultant at PwC.

I graduated from DTU, Delhi in 2023 with 8.5 cgpa and have around 3 years of work experience in QA
10th: 94.6%
12th: 90.5%

Hi, I’m a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of professional experience, currently working as an AVP at Asego Global Assistance in Business strategy, FP&A and investor relations.

I started my career with Deloitte India in Financial Due Diligence, where I spent 4+ years working primarily with PE/VC firms on buy-side and sell-side transactions. My experience includes due diligence across NBFCs, housing finance companies, fintech, broking firms and other financial services businesses (BFSI focussed).

I subsequently moved to Asego, a startup engaged in travel assistance and insurance business, where my role has expanded beyond core finance into business strategy, FP&A, investor management and strategic initiatives, giving me exposure to senior management and broader business decision-making.

I am a Chartered Accountant and a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from H.R. College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai. I am now looking at an MBA, with ISB PGP being one of my primary targets.

Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I actively contribute to and organise cultural and sports events within the CA fraternity and my community, taking on responsibilities around coordination and execution.

I would appreciate an honest assessment of my profile for ISB:
 
 How competitive is my profile for ISB PGP? 
 What GMAT score should I target to have a strong chance?
