shristi20 wow these are the reasons people need consultants. OK - YOU DONT HAVE TO ADDRESS EACH QUALITY listed.
*edited* Hi
shristi20 and
Lekoben I edited this - should be clearer now.
I'm glad I saw this post because that would be a complete disaster. You want to tell a story, like ALWAYS. DEEP NOT WIDE. Tell a story beginning middle and end, something someone would want to read and it would help them get to know you better.
FOR EACH MINI ESSAY - Figure out which one is YOUR spike factor, they are listing examples. Pick one spike factor where you have a really good story. Would say do between 2 and 3 mini essays. But if you have a great story to tell around one key attribute, go ahead and use the 1000 words to tell it.
Just be sure not to try to cover several unrelated spike factors in each mini essay. It won't help you. Keep things simple for the reader so they can follow you.
Example 1: To demonstrate "grit" and determination, my client last season told a story about developing juvenile diabetes at age 18 and being put on academic probation for low grades/lost his scholarship as a result of being so sick. He learned how to master his illness and went on to get an early promotion, CFA, etc.
Example 2: He had really bad grades and GRE score, but really strong community service, so we developed another mini-essay on paying it forward as the spike factor; the story illustrated a good story he had around that.
Despite the low stats, but still got an admit there with a fat scholarship so I think the application was a big part in that.
Good luck!

what are the things that you have done in your life that demonstrate Passion/ Grit/ Resilience/ Innovation/ Drive/ Ambition and more?
My question is how do I frame my essay when i have instances (demonstrating the above values) from different points of time/ unrelated situations? should i use a bullet point system in this essay? can i start by giving each instance a heading under the value which is demonstrated? it would look less like an essay, thats my concern.
please help me out !
