I am asking that even with such a poor score in Graduation college will I be able to get admission to any good MBA colleges here in India and abroad.

Hi iamvishnu, poor score in Graduation college is definitely not a great start but you need to understand that it does not mean that it is the end.

In fact, there is a lot more to a profile than just academic grades: your undergrad school, your discipline, the extent of your work experience, your nature of work, your experience, your accomplishments at work, your career trajectory, your extra curricular activities, and your goals, all matter.

Most importantly, what will matter is your GMAT score. Do remember that a good GMAT score would be a telling statement to the Admissions Committee that you are not inherently weak in academics and your undergrad score is clearly an aberration. In view of your GMAT score (700+), your undergrad score should not be looked at it as a defining attribute of your profile.

Consequently, since you do have a low undergrad score, it becomes imperative that you work even harder towards your GMAT preparation, so that you get a phenomenal score (700+), thereby boosting your chances of an interview call from ISB.

Hi iamvishnu,

Apologies for a delayed response but we hope this finds you in time still.

While a low score in undergrad is a disadvantage, you may offset the same (to a large extent) with a higher GMAT score; besides the GMAT, you will also need to focus on putting forth a set of compelling essays that focus on your inspiration for MBA and your future goals.

Needless to say, with the right kind of preparation, you will have a significant number of options. :-)

All the best!

Your score, though not outstanding, is not below par for what B-schools would consider. With a good GMAT/GRE score, and some more experience (especially for foreign schools), you could have a real shot at some good programs.
