Easy method :-

Take the total revenue for each quarter = 100
Since there are four quarters , the total revenue = 400
35 is the revenue earned by C in Q3.
Hence , ( 35/ 400 ) * 100 =  Required percentage  = 8.75

See , 8.75 is closer to 10 than to 5.
Hence , 10 is the answer after approximating. KarishmaB chetan2u

1st part:
Identify the tallest bar chart coloured for Q3. Salesperson C with 35% of sales.

2nd part:
Q3 represents 25% of the annual revenue. Salesperson C contributed 35% of 25%, which is 8.75% of the total.

Round up 8.75% to the nearest 5 percent = 10%.

NO, that will not be the correct way. You were lucky to get the answer as the answer sought some % of the Q 3, which is exactly 25% of total. You would not get the answer in other quarters as they do not constitute the average of total, that is 25% since 25% 84 = 100%.

Of the four salespeople, Salesperson [C] generated the most revenue in Q3, and the revenue generated by that salesperson in Q3 constitutes, to the nearest 5 percent, [10] percent of the store's total revenue generated during the last complete fiscal year.

It can be easily seen that, C has the highest revenue in Q3

==> % of C's revenue in Q3:
35% (percentage of C's revenue per all staff in Q3) * 25% (percentage of Q3 per total revenue) = 8.75%

Rounded to the nearest 5% is 10%

Hi Chetan can all sales be taken as 100? then 25 is Q3, 35% of it is 8.75 which is rounded to 10?

I don't understand this 4*9 you have done here

For a certain retail store, the pie chart shows the percent of the last complete fiscal year's total revenue that was generated during each quarter; the bar graph shows, for each of the store's four salespeople, the percent of each quarter's revenue that was generated by that salesperson. For example, the pie chart shows that the store's revenue generated in Q1 constituted 30% of its total revenue for the year, and the bar graph shows that Salesperson A generated 31% of the store's revenue for Q1.

Select from the drop-down menus the options that complete the statement so that it is accurate based on the information provided.

Of the four salespeople, Salesperson generated the most revenue in Q3,
The comparison is within the Q3, so straight way look at the highest column with lines.
A and C are closest to 35 but C is slightly more, so C is the answer.

The revenue generated by that salesperson in Q3 constitutes, to the nearest 5 percent, percent of the store's total revenue generated during the last complete fiscal year.
Again, we are looking at the Q3, which is 25% or 1/4 of the complete year.
35% of 1/4 ~ 9% as 4*9=36. Nearest 5 percent is 10%

the 4*9 = 36 is just confirming that the 9% is correct because 9% multiplied by 4 quarters will give you the total contributed in Q3 by salesperson C (the 35% we started with).
