What is the area of rectangular floor X?
(1) The length of floor X is 2 meters more than its width.
(2) The perimeter of floor X is 16 meters.

Stmt 1: L = 2+ W
LW can't be found. So insufficient,
Stmt 2: 2(L+W) = 16
LW can't be found. So insufficient,
Both together Sufficient to find L and W.
Option C according to me. But OA is A, what am I missing?

Question: Area of Rectangular floor
L * B =?
Statement 1:
L=B+2
We cannot find area Not sufficient
Statement 2:
Perimeter of X is 16
So Given 2( L+B) =16
L+B=8
If L=1, B=7 area =7
If L=2 B = 6 area =12
Not sufficient
Combine:
L+B=8 and L=B+2
We get a definite answer for area..
Hence sufficient
C
