That’s right, I am HAPPY with my score of 670. A lot of posts on this forum will make you think you’re inadequate without a 750+. I get test anxiety and have never done well on standardized tests so being in the 80th percentile for the gmat is a huge accomplishment. While my SAT and ACT were the lowest in the range of my peers in my undergrad business honors program, I excelled in the course work and projects. I accepted awhile ago that my strengths do not lie in standardized tests and that’s okay. Here are gmat scores that got into top MBA programs: 590 Harvard, 640 Kellogg, 620 Wharton, 680 MIT, 690 Haas, and 600 Booth. Hoping this post breaks up the “I got a 780- should I retake??” posts on this forum and reminds you that the gmat isn’t a determinant of your worth.
General housekeeping: I am a white female and took the gmat online (quant, verbal, IR, essay). Had a good overall experience except I didn’t get any breaks due to technology errors. Anytime I would click next it would double click. This didn’t cause issues during the actual testing portions because of the yes/no pop up box after each question but it unfortunately began and ended my break instantly. After drinking a Red Bull, 3 glasses of water, and a whole sprite during the first section, I was a bit uncomfortable going into IR and the essay. Regardless, I was happy with my experience and know a lot of people had it way worse when taking it online. Good luck!!
