Thank you for the response. I will be applying to Ross in R2.

Have update the decision tracker :)

Sorry to hear about the WL's - I would say those are a lot better than dings  but my guess you know that on your own.
You have potentially 4 horses to be on though I would say the Fuqua WL is one of the most painful ones; they often keep people on for months and months through August basically.

To answer your question, it is not typical to be WL'ed but these are data points for you. I would use this information to note a few things for your R2 strategy:
You got interviews at all schools and WL at the end. Likely the deciding factor between you and some similar candidates was the interview. I would really prep the heck out of it for the next round and see if you can blow them away.

You can take a bit of a lower notch in terms of the school choice. You can also see if you want to pursue 1-year programs that are more along the lines of your experience grade (11 years is a bit on the higher side) which sometimes tends to interfere with recruiting as you are over-qualified for many of the jobs.

You did not apply to Ross?

P.S. Would you mind adding your status for the schools to the profile/decision tracker?
you can hide the username or everything from your profile if you don't feel like sharing it publickly but your anonymous data will help future generations who will have the exact same questions - is it normal to be WL'ed???

I have been waitlisted at 4 schools out of 6 I applied to.
Waitlisted at Cornell and Tepper with interview
Waitlisted at Duke and NYU without interview

I applied to the full time 2 year MBA program at all these places.

Female from India 730 GMAT, 11 years work ex with strong leadership roles, Current industry Insurance. Post MBA career option: FinTech.

Is it usual to be waitlisted at so many schools and having no conversions?

Here are some tips for waitlisted candidates:

1. Take the GMAT again if you think there’s some chance you can improve your grade significantly.

2. Visit the campus and request, in advance, a (second) interview with an admissions officer.

3. Get a couple more support emails from students/professors/alumni. Email them to the admissions office.

4. Write a cover letter to the head of admissions detailing recent, significant, positive developments in your career / life (GMAT improvement, new job, promotion, distinctions) and restating your strong interest in the program.

5. If the school doesn’t object to additional recommendation letters, get an additional recommendation letter. If there was a significant development in your career (new employer, promotion, distinction) – you can get an additional recommendation letter covering this new development.

6. If the school allows additional essays, select a topic that adds information beyond your original application and write a new essay.

Good luck!

I agree with everyone else's comments and suggestions. Coincidentally, my company, Stratus Admissions, recently published this blog post that seems particularly relevant for you:

Best of luck to you!!
