Hey,

These calls are generally informal and supportive, not evaluative in the traditional sense. The Adcom Manager will likely walk you through your current position on the waitlist, how the process works, and what you can expect in the coming weeks. They may also share if there are specific areas of your profile they’d like more clarity or updates on.

How to prepare:
  • Know your narrative: Be ready to reaffirm your interest in LBS, your career goals, and why LBS is your top choice.
  • Have updates ready: If you’ve had any recent professional achievements, promotions, test score improvements, or other profile enhancements—mention them briefly.
  • Prepare thoughtful questions: You could ask about timelines, what typically strengthens a waitlist case, or if there’s anything specific they’d recommend you work on or share further.

This is also a moment to show maturity and clarity—being well-informed, appreciative of the chance to connect, and genuine about your goals can go a long way.

Hi. I just got an email from the waitlisted adcom manager, and she gave me a chance to have a call to know more about my profile and see if I had any questions about the waitlist. I am wondering if anyone can advise on what usually happens for such calls, and how I can prepare for them. Thank you!
