Congratulations for getting admitted to Emory. I am soon to be alum of Emory. :)

Regarding your query - I think you should keep dependent field blank right now and try to get your Visa done as soon as possible. Emory takes around 2 weeks to send you I20 and around a week to get you soft copy of the same. I highly recommend booking your appointment for an earlier date. If not, Emory can make dependent changes later to your I20 and send it over again.

Hi everybody,

I and my wife are planning to study MBA in USA together. I got offer from Emory Goizueta for the incoming Fall 2020 intake but my wife is still in the progress of preparing for the interview with the school and applying to other schools in Round 3.

Now I have come to the phase of completing the I-20 Form to prepare for the VISA application. This form requires me to indicate whether I would come alone or bring dependent(s) with me during my studies. My dilemma is that the answer for that question would entirely depend on my wife's application result which would come no early at all and I am afraid that if I wait for such result, it would be too late for my VISA application.

Anybody here has the same issue? Any thoughts and advice would be highly appreciated.

Dear Expert,

A recent news spur got my attention when my dad called it out to me.

It mentioned there is a 2-year waiting period for F1 and all other student VISAs for Indian students aspiring to go to the US.
I am applying for the 2023 intake, Round2 only to USA B schools.

My question is would you be able to shed light on the same? Is it true and do the universities have an opinion on the same?
And if it is true, how do we(Indian students applying to the States) navigate through this?
