As far as anyone knows, is wharton having smaller admitted student receptions similar to Kellogg and Booth (at least around the US?) before their welcome weekends?

checking in from India. Congratulations everyone! This is an end to a long journey for me, and I'm so looking forward to the vacations.

See ya all in Philly!

OMG I think we met in Paris! Did not you attend an info session at Wine by One with a friend or sibling?

Congrats!!

International applicants, how do you deal with financial aid? I have to admit there is so many documents I'm a bit lost. For what I understand, you need all the financial part to be okay (the amount of scholarship and/or fellowship + what you will bring in) before applying for the I-20 form. Am I right?

Any tip or idea for scholarship/fellowship?

Thanks

Hey Guys :)
Congratulations on being admitted!

So one of my preferred choices is obviously Wharton but I am also interested in Duke and LBS.
Besides all the nerves from the application process, I am very interested to hear from all of you on why you chose Wharton or would recommend it over other schools?
Would really appreciate some feedback!

Thanks :)

Hello PeggyFin.

Congratulations, well done too :)

I would recommend Wharton because of the Lauder Program (I don't know if you've heard about it or even applied). For me, the MA of Lauder is a marvellous addition to the the MBA, and the way the curriculum (even the basic one) is done is unprecedented. If you have been admitted to the Wharton MBA only, scratch my recommandation.

Duke and LBS: I could understand why Duke, Durham is a beautiful city (that's what I heard from current student there), very strong program (especially in the energy industry). Both Duke and Wharton are on the East Coast. But LBS ? I think it all depends on where you want to work RIGHT after your MBA, and what kind of experience you wish to have during the next two years, as leaving in Europe or the US in general is really really two different experiences. If you've leaved in Europe already, definitely head to the US, and vice versa (you'll gain more). For have assisted to some info sessions and heard from different sources, the LBS MBA is really really strong in Europe, I would even say more than INSEAD. So if you plan on working in Europe, I think LBS it is. That being said, Wharton is a high brand enough that even if you want to work in Europe later, you won't have any trouble. Duke, well known in the US but not really outside. When people are thinking American MBA, Duke is not really on the list (don't quote me on that).

I think down in your heart you know already where you want to go, or already have a top choice. Applying to such different programs (and get in) require some previous thinking and a top choice already, so that your reflexion right now should be just about nitpicking.

Good luck on your choice anyway, and see you maybe in two weeks or in August.

Congrats to all R1 admits! I'm excited to share with you guys that https://www.tripweave.com has officially launched. We are bringing powerful pre-MBA travel experiences to a select group of schools, and Wharton is one of them. After graduating Harvard undergrad, I've pursued my life's passion of connecting people to each other and the world through travel. Now, I'm thrilled to share this new opportunity with incoming b-school students. As we get off the ground in 2015, experienced travelers are welcome to contact us at info@tripweave.com for information on how you can help facilitate one of our amazing experiences for you and your classmates. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the login information for the Career Management Webinar this Friday is? The link takes me to a "Hobson Connect" login page but I don't recall having registered for that site before and there's no "create account" option...

In case anyone else has the same question, I figured it out. Use the login from the interview registration site, not the application. I hope we aren't being graded on this...

I asked and they were pretty adamant about not reconsidering. I had another scholarship so it was a tough decision. I also spoke to other people who had no luck either.

Currently live in Philly but will be moving closer to campus. Most choose to live in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood across the river from the school in center city. I'm thinking the southern edge, or slightly further south in graduate hospital in a brownstone/rowhome. Cheaper and you can get your own roof deck.

Woohoo! Just to confirm that I'm looking in the right place for any $$ they might be offering: it would be in the Decision Letter posted on the online portal, right?
