Hi I am a round 2 applicant. Just scheduled the interview. They seem to assign me an alum rather than an adcom member as an interviewer. Is it a negative sign? Thanks.

I don't think it's necessarily a negative sign - you should have as a good of a chance even if it's with an alum

I agree with that. As a side note, I suggest that you do some research on that alum (if they have provided you his/her name or if you can get that from the Zoom link they send you). If you could ask a couple of interesting questions about his/her trajectory, that will likely reflect positively on you.

Not at all. It is as simple as that the adcom alone cannot interview all the candidates. Someone has to get interviewed by the alum. A lot of schools do this and this is not an indication of any outcome.

Welcome to the forum!

I would presume so - you may need to wait until folks that are admitted in round 2 have submitted their decision whether to attend so Wharton knows how many spots are available still.

Thank you!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but aren't R1 waitlisted candidates assessed along with R2 applications? Either way will need to patient till March end now. Haha.
