Just did my interview, very pleasant chat. It’s important to go in prepared for the standard interview questions. Make it as fluent and simple to understand as possible. Less than 3-4 sentences but well articulated.

Anyone get in while being incoherent in the interview?

Hi everyone,
I have taken the EA today and got 153 (11,11, 11). I plan to apply at Wharton EMBA in Sep of this year for the FY22 intake. I’ve read here and there Wharton will ask for a minimum score of 155, and I’m wondering if my score will be seen as a weakness in my application, and if I should take the test again. My profile is 31yo, European, deals manager at a big4 in nyc, French/UK higher education (msc in management), career in both Europe and NYC.
I’d really appreciate your feedback and if you can share what EA score you got if you were accepted at Wharton EMBA. Thanks a lot !
Tom

Hi Everyone,

I see you have an admission from Wharton EMBA already. If you had applied with an EA score, can you tell us what EA score you had applied with? Thanks :)

You can also check some of the following resources for the EA test in case you plan to retake it.

We also offer a free EA test. Let me know if you have any trouble accessing it :)

There isn’t a clear answer unfortunately on whether the score is low or not. Talk to admissions before deciding whether to retake. The EA is a new test and there isn’t a lot of data on it. If you’re confident you can get a materially better score I’d say go for it but I know the feeling of wanting to be done with it and moving on to other parts of your application.

I took the EA and had 157 (15E, 13Q, 9IR). I felt the score was low (botched IR) and was considering retaking but didn’t.

Would anyone here know the Range of accepted EA scores at W in the last 2-3 years? The Range would eventually combine with the applicant's other attributes to make a cohort but give a good idea to the larger set of people in the guessing game :)
Thanks

If anyone finds out their admission status before the official announcement date, they will be specifically asked to not post to social media or forums until the official date. Applicants are generally very respectful of this request because admissions are conditional, dependent on your background/reference checks and likely compliance with requests such as not posting early.

Is it realistic to expect a call before tomorrow? Or will most people find out then?

Most find out tomorrow (R2 announcement date). Some will get a call and others just find it posted online through the application portal. It does not mean anything if you do or do not get a call, or even if you find out earlier than someone else. I had a work issue, so I learned my status about a week before the R1 announcement. We had a number of waitlisted candidates join a few days before classes started because several people deferred due to COVID. You join your class and none of the admission stuff matter anymore. Everybody is the same, including R1, R2, waitlist, call, no-call, etc. Nobody cares about the stuff we all cared about deeply before we were admitted. Good luck tomorrow!

Edit: I guess the date is Wednesday, not tomorrow.

People may also hear early if they had a competing deadline with another school.
