What is the remainder when a three-digit integer ABC (where A, B, and C are hundreds, tens and units digits respectively) is divided by 7?
(1) 2A + 3B + C is divisible by 7

The three digit number is
100A+10B+C
S1 : 2A+3B+C is divisible by 7
So,Subrracting the given equation from ABC
100A+10B+C -2A-3B-C = 98A+7B
Hence ABC is divisible by 7
Sufficient
S2: sufficient. If a number is divisible by 49 its obviously divisible by 7.

X is divisible by 'a' if 'y' & compound such as X+y or x-y is also divisible by 'a'
therefore, (100A+10B+C)-(2A+3B+C) = 98A + 7B = divisible by 7
hence, 100A+10B+C will also be divisible by 7
note: it is tricky to find do calculations hence, remembering the generic division rule will help in pre-thinking
