start with E, D.

E) 21...........not divisible by 9

D) 42.........Not divisible by 9.

C) 63..............7*9 = 63 and 21*3 = 63.


C is the correct answer.

Going through options from bottom,

21 and 42 are not divisible by 9.

63 is divisible by both 9 and 21

OPTION: C

Since the LCM of 21 and 9 is 3^2 x 7 = 9 x 7 = 63, we see that 63 is the smallest positive integer divisible by both 21 and 9.

Answer: C

The Answer is the LCM of (21,9) = 63
