What is the value of 14m^4/s^6 ?

(1) m^2 = 3s^3
(2) s^6 = 64

Question : What is the value of 14m^4/s^6 ?

i.e. Question : What is the value of 14(m^2/s^3)^2 ?

i.e. Question : What is the value of m^2/s^3 ?

Statement 1: m^2 = 3s^3
i.e. m^2 /s^3 = 3
SUFFICIENT

Statement 1: s^6 = 64
m is unknown hence
NOT SUFFICIENT

Answer: Option A

Just wondering

For statement (1) only to be true, wouldn't we have to know, that '0' is not an option.

i.e. 1) m^2=3s^3 would hold true for s=0 too

no where in the question does it state the they are non-zero (both m and s) - how do I assume that?

I chose C because of that reason, otherwise I wouldve picked A as both powers cancel and we get the answer - but for option 0, this wont hold true as 0^1 would still be 0 giving us 0 for an answer!??

Please correct me!!

Yes, 0 is an option for statement1 but for m=s=0, the question stem will be undefined so that is not acceptable option as per question.

P.S.Denominator of a fraction, for all GMAT Quant questions, can never be equal to zero
