Re: What is the value of the two digit number? [#permalink]
Let the two digit number be ab

1) a+b=4
INSUFFICIENT

2) |a-b|=2
=>a-b=+2

INSUFFICIENT

1& 2

a=3,1
b=1,3
hence two number we are getting 31 and 13 but we cant speak of anything specific between the two.

hence INSUFFICIENT

What is the value of the two digit number x ?

(1) The sum of two digits is 4.

(2) The difference between the two digits is 2.

I was also a little confused by this.

here you go, s1 and s2 are not sufficient straight way, so now check with s1+s2 then u get 31 or 13 so even then NS
