First of all, apologies for creating a new thread when there are also other threads that address this situation. I wanted to take opinion of members of this forum for my specific situation. I gave the GMAT today and got 720 (Q50, V38). I have applied for a re-take in 3 weeks from now. I wanted to ask what should be the next steps for me during these three weeks (assuming most of the preparation would be over the weekends since weekdays would not offer me any significant time due to a hectic consulting job)
I gave 6 mock tests from the official GMATPrep software (I purchased additional packages apart from the free one included). Here are the scores in chronological order: 720, 730, 750, 690, 740, 760. The last score, 760, was 3 days before the actual exam date. During all the exams, while score for quant mostly stayed around Q49 to Q51, that in verbal section varied a lot, ranging from V34 to V44. On an average, I had ~1 problem wrong in RC, 3-4 in CR and 5-6 in SC. SC seems to be the biggest issue in my case. I solved complete
OG + Official Verbal Guide + Manhattan Sentence Correction Guide + more than 200 problems of the 700-level from GMAT Club. I have also maintained and reviewed an
error log where I note each problem that I did wrong and the reason why I chose the wrong answer. After such a rigorous preparation for verbal, I have still not achieved consistency in the score.
Now that I have the re-test in three weeks (essentially 3 weekends), are there any tips for course of action to improve score in Verbal? Any online video lecture series or something similar that might help? Would be really grateful if people could help out here. Thanks a lot!
