aspirant
Hello,
This post is for my brother, who has just about to complete his undergrad in engineering in india. He has landed a job with a well known IT company. He is planning to to an American MBA in a few years time from now. What all shud he do?? Since he has a good amount of time at his disposal, what steps shud he take from now onwards.
He has decent academics - 8.2/10 in engineering.
Regards
You are a good brother!
Your brother is taking the right steps. He has earned a good GPA and hopefully has landed a good job. Although initially he will be at the bottom in his new company, when he has the chance and ability, he should attempt to assume responsibility and gain business (not just technical) experience. He should also seek out roles that provide international and multi-cultural exposure -- working abroad, serving on teams with people from different countries, etc. Roughly one year before the wants to apply he should prepare for and take the GMAT. Finally, he should take some time and devote it to community service, and/or a hobby or two that he loves.

Good luck!
