Help needed!

I wanted to know whether it's preferred to apply in first round for top US MBA schools and then resubmit a higher GMAT score subsequently or it's better to apply in round 2 with more preparation.

Is it true that chances of getting admitted in round 2 remain the same compared to round 1 for international students.

It's really obfuscating for me at the moment.

There is no official right answer here-- but generally speaking-- especially for the highest ranking programs-- you want to apply when you have your strongest application-- and if that is R2 then so be it. HBS or GSB are not going to let you send in higher scores so you'd be better off waiting there-- where aas some programs in 10-20 range might be willing to look at you now and also be on the lookout for a new score before making a final decision.
