Gmat prep 1 & 2 tests shall be used to guage your initial level so that a test taker will know what areas he shall work on.After completing all the topics in verbal and quant, gmac's 3-6 tests should be given. The score in them almost reflects the score in the actual test

HI harshitverma14,

Based on how you have been studying thus far, I think you could really benefit from using a self-study course. To see what is available, take a look at the GMAT Club reviews for the best quant and verbal courses, and also read through some GMAT success stories to see what materials have worked well for other test-takers.

You also may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Harshit,

Many Test Takers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so since you've been studying inconsistently for about a month, you should not expect to have mastered any aspects of the GMAT just yet. In addition, you would likely find it beneficial to study some Quant and some Verbal each week (instead of the "all of one, then all of the other" plan that you're considering).

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) Can you go into a bit more detail about your prior studies? How long did you study and what study materials did you use?
2) Have you ever taken a practice CAT/mock? On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
