I got 700 in gmat and have an experience of 4 yrs.

My counselor gave me the following list to shortlist, but I am not sure where to apply.

McCombs School of Business---univ of austin
Duke University
Darden School of Business
Cornell University: Johnson - Business school
University of Maryland, College Park
USC Marshall School of Business
Carnegie Mellon University
Leonard N. Stern School of Business
University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Ohio State University (Fisher)
Michigan State university
Rutgers Business School.


Any suggestions???

Hi Ishan,

Its very difficult to comment on this list without knowing more about you and your career aspirations. The only suggestion we can make is that you should narrow this list down - applying to about 5-7 b-schools is a strenuous activity itself. Going beyond that is a tad much, and you would be compromising the quality of your applications.

Firstly many congratulations on scoring 700 . :wink:

Well , The simplest recommendation you’d get is that you should contact these colleges you mentioned above through email , skype and try to ascertain what are the requirements . You should send an email to all the above colleges with your profile summary including these points :-

1.Updated CV
2.Statement of Purpose SOP
3.Work experience
4.Academics/Extra Curricular
5.Post MBA plans

The other option (This might be more obvious!) would be to consider working with a credible MBA admissions consultant to develop and execute the best possible application strategy, given your current profile and your gmat score I reckon you will land in good college .
