1/ Official mock score is closed to real gmat score.
2/ for verbal, you must watch "Thursdays with Ron" tutorials from youtube-it'll definitely increase your score!
3/ official materials is more than enough for getting your expected score. Please don't use unofficial materials for practice. There is a chance to be biased your score in real gmat if you use unofficial resource!

Hi Vairani,

I’m glad you reached out, and I’m happy to help. Regarding resources, check out some of the success stories of past GMAT students as well as reviews of various GMAT prep courses to see what prep materials have worked for other test-takers.

Regarding practice exams, you should take the 6 MBA.com exams.

Certainly, if you’d like specific advice on how to improve your GMAT quant and verbal skills, feel free to reach out.

Lastly, you may find it helpful to read this article about how to score a 700+ on the GMAT.

Good luck!

Hi Vazirani

As another GMAT aspirant I can tell you that egmat is good for SC, CR-powerscore , RC best OG and RC 99 and for quant OG is not sufficient . So for quant go through GMAT club tests or Target test prep

All the best

Hi Vazirani,

Many Test Takers are unhappy with their initial practice scores, but you really shouldn't be. Your 580 is actually a solid performance (the average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years) - and it's just a measure of your skills right now. You'll improve on that result over time as you learn more about the content, Tactics and little 'secrets' of the Exam. That having been said, raising a 580 to the point that you can consistently score 700+ will likely require at least another 3 months of consistent, guided study - and you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
3) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
