It's always a bit tough answering these "should I take a job" Qs cause there's a whole lot of other reasons/ideas/thoughts behind a job, more than just an MBA...
but I'll let your friends and family advise you there, and stick to what I know.
The most important things that you think about when taking your job in terms of MBA is
a) Progress - the Adcoms want to see you moving on up in the world, moving from higher to higher position, gaining more responsibilities, more prestige and higher salaries. If this is not the case (although it's cool of course if you sacrifice a higher salary for non-profit stuff) you may want to reconsider
b) Logic - At the end of your career arc there needs to be some goal. something specific that makes sense. That's why every single application in the world has a goals question. If you were teaching and then you did engineering and then you did some teaching and then some finance and then some engineering, you are gonna look lost. If you can build a logical story with a good target at the end, then you are good!
Hope this helps you!
