3/4 = 0.75
4/5 = 0.80
7/8 = 0.875
9/10 = 0.90

Here is the rule => if denominator has any other prime except 2 or 5 => the number will be non terminating

Just to augment the discussion , please find here the decimal equivalent fractions -

Further please check this excellent link from Magoosh

https://magoosh.com/gmat/2012/gmat-math- ... -decimals/

I will say, any number which is a multiple of 2 or 5 (having only 2 or 5 or its multiple ) will not be a non terminating decimal ...

Example -

1/8 = 0.25 { Multiple of 2 }

However 1/6 = 0.166....... ( Multiple of 2 & 3 }

Since in 1/6 is a multiple of 3 (along with 2) it will be a non terminating decimal due to presence of 3 ; in 1/8 it is a a multiple of 2 it will be a terminating decimal.

Please feel free to revert in case of any doubt.. :P :lol: :-D :roll:
