Hi manojrana ..
Getting into top US schools will be too tough unless you have a GMAT above 760 and exceptional profile. I would suggest you to check some European B schools such as HEC, IMD, Cambridge, Oxford, Manchester which welcome highly experienced applicants. In these schools, the avg. exp. is around 6-7 yrs and avg. age is 28-31. Otherwise, you can check for EMBA option. Is your GMAT ready? Research a bit on the above mentioned schools if you are interested in European MBA.

Thanks for the response . I went through batch profile of top 10 MBA colleges , the average age is around 27-28, average work ex is around 60-70 months , and average CGPA is around 3.5 . This gives me shivers as I don't fall in 80% bracket . Yeah the obejective of getting an MBA is to change the field and rise in higher management .

Sure I will prefer European MBA from colleges like INSEAD, HEC, Oxford , Cambridge and IMD. My current employer has a HQ based in Sweden it will help me settle easier and in less time period. My concerns are low CGPA, higher work ex and age group with a normal profile. GMAT not yet ready .

manojrana .. I don't want to under-estimate you but INSEAD will be super tough as well. Why don't you check IMD? IMD requires highly experienced professionals. You can check out this forum HERE to know more about upcoming intake and deadline. For HEC, you can follow HERE

Thanks a lot sir . I must tell you that's the kind of feedback I require. Really blunt and truthful. Although I will apply HEC and IMD, ht surely give INSEAD a try. I heard IMD is for health professional, I am totally into manufacturing industry .

There is no need to call me Sir :) I am happy to help.

There is no harm in applying to Insead but please do your best to make other applications good.

You got wrong information about IMD. IMD is famous for industries and nearly 40% of the class has manufacturing background. Also, ME :) ;) You can trust me on above information and cross check through information brochures.

I am HEC and IMD school moderator. If you need some advise and information about these schools, feel free to message me.

Thanks a lot for helping me in such important decisions. Also I wish to inform that the current employer is my 4th( with 4 years in current one) . Does changing job creates a bad impression . I do have a offer in hand with a good salary rise. However I will not switch if it creates problems in my CV for MBA

Hi,
Sorry, I missed this post. It depends upon your decision. If you are sure to apply this year, then I will recommend not to take new job. Applying next year will not benefit you so much. So, stick to a plan. Prepare for GMAT, research for schools, and apply.
