I know I'm being lazy, but anyone done the date logistics for the top 20 schools? For example, I presume certain schools' R1 final decision date is earlier than some R2 deadlines. Anyone waiting to hear back from R1s and working it out so that you can still have time to do R2 for others if rejected?

Chicago and Wharton should let everyone know by the end of December.

Harvard, Stanford, and MIT will not release anything until January.

Kellogg will release decisions on a rolling basis. All Columbia ED people should know where they stand by end of December.

And lastly, Tuck EA applicants will know where they stand in mid-December, but November round applicants won't know until early February.

I don't plan on hitting R2 at all but.....You will hear about most of your interview invites before Rd 2 deadlines (Nov & Dec) so you can base your chance of admission on that. (unless you get really unlucky, or are a horrible interviewer)

Also Chicago and Wharton give out decisions same day (12/18)

I think Wharton releases on 12/22....

I applied to HBS, Wharton, and Chicago GSB in Round 1. I am still debating which schools, if any, I will apply to in Round 2. I am contemplating submitting applications to Stanford GSB and MIT, but have heard that the Round 2 admissions chances for either school are basically nil. I will probably put together an application to Kellogg and send it in, but again, I'm still undecided.

Which schools in the UE/E tiers are you not applying to? I think the only ones I haven't seen you hit are UCLA, Berkeley, and Cornell.

I am applying to: HBS, Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago, MIT, Tuck, Duke, Darden, Columbia
I'm not applying to: Stanford, UCLA, Berk, Cornell, Yale, etc etc.

I've pretty much decided that no social life for these two months is worth it :)

There's still time for both of these schools in R1.
