"Dear USER who finds this site before it goes public, which is December 11, 2002. I have no idea how you manage to find the site that is not linked to from anywhere and was registered on Nov 13. But, please, accept my compliments to your research skills.

WHAT IS GMATCLUB<dot>COM?
First of all, thank you for dropping by. Hopefully, you will find this site valuable. In creating GMATclub I wanted to avoid two problems, which currently plague most GMAT sites: commercialization and obsoleteness. GMATclub is not a commercial site seeking to promote or sell a product. It is due to its special membership structure that I hope it will avoid becoming outdated or lost.
This site's mission is to assist test takers in getting higher scores on the GMAT by: (1) providing a place for them to share experience and learn from each other; (2) collecting and analyzing feedback regarding various techniques and materials; and (3) providing tips and strategies that worked for many people. I also hope that many of our club members will get involved in improving this site and keeping it updated. Join in. Membership is FREE.
IS THIS SITE FOR BEGINNERS OR EXPERIENCED GMATERS?
This site has material for both beginners and experienced GMATers. GMAT-FAQ section is designed especially for beginners. It deals with a wide variety of questions, including things which are not mentioned anywhere else (whether the 5-min breaks are kept, etc.) or things that you can know only after visiting the test center.
For experienced test takers there is a special section of tips/strategies that addresses timing issues on different test sections and has a constantly growing collection of logical/math puzzles to satisfy your brain torturing needs.
WHO RUNS IT?
Hopefully everybody will. This is a club, so whoever is active, is the person in charge. This site is not designed to spread my opinion but to enable everybody to contribute their techniques, tricks, and strategies to battle GMAT. Due to tech limitations, most of the discussions and interaction happens on the forum pages, so make sure you check it out. The club is my idea; call me -bb; I have 99th percentile on the GMAT. I am always around, drop me a note on the forum or join for a chat.
WHY?
It seems irrational to forget the GMAT experience many of us have strived to achieve for so long. The idea of this website came from the GMAT forums where brilliant posts made by arduous test takers were soon lost and forgotten. Up until now, individual test prep worked as a cycle where a generation of test takers, united somewhere on a forum, learned something, developed strategies, used them, took the test, and then disposed of all the acquired material. The next generation had to start developing the same strategies all over again, making another cycle.
I want to prevent waste of time and resources, and to ensure progress instead of cycling. For this reason, I constantly review content of the site and publish user submissions in order to keep us on the edge of the GMAT technology and turn this site into a library of test experience. If ETS is very structured and organized, why can't we be at least somewhat organized?"
I think BB has been able to stay true to his cause in all the respects except probably about the money-making part - though - I am happy that they are making money since this website has turned so useful!!!!!!!!!!!
