Hi
longhorn52,
Thank you for your post, and for sharing your profile. Having had first-hand experience in the HF world, I can say that this sector is highly selecting. HFs, especially those located in the United States, are notorious for employing Ivy Leaguers. To get into one of these prestigious institutions, you will require a very high GRE score (especially quant) to counterbalance the lower than average cumulative GPA (although, a 3.75 major GPA is excellent). Since you have changed majors three times, you would need to write a top-notch optional essay explaining the circumstances (provided you do not use the SOP to address this topic). I would also spend some time developing your Extra Curricular if your engagement with the fraternity is minimal.
As you think about your target schools, I urge you to spend some time researching what HFs are looking for in new hires. The North American Financial services market, in particular, has experienced a move towards lowering their fees. That is also the case for HFs; there are only a few high-performing HFs that follow the old fee structure of charging 2 and 20 (institutions that can afford to carry out these fee structure are continuously diminishing). With the age of information, investors demand they demonstrate their relevance. Therefore, leveraging data has been essential. As a result, HFs are becoming increasingly more reliant on quants and engineering (financial engineering) minds to help use existing data to lead them forward. Think about this as you plan your next steps. "How can you best market yourself for the HF world?" should be a question you keep in mind.
Furthermore, think about your narrative, and how you portray your story in your admissions application. Answering the questions "Why do you need a Masters in Finance?" and "Where are you going with that degree?" is essential.

Good luck!
