Hi,
I'm an international student interested in pursuing MBA in supply chain management. I've got an admit from W P Carey with around 50% scholarship and hoping a positive result from Wisconsin MBA as well (grainger center for supply chain management). Please help me to choose the better option among them considering the job opportunities for international students, reputation of the program, etc. My profile - 710/3 yrs work ex in IT developing SCM software solutions.
Thanks in advance!
Carey has slightly lower placement records (90% of students have job offers by 3 months after graduation as opposed to Wisconsin's 93%), but it does have nearly twice the amount of living alumni (which means twice the network) as Wisconsin. Unfortunately, while Carey reveals that 92.6% of its graduates from outside of the US have job offers within 3 months of graduation, Wisconsin's report does not break down by student origin, so we cannot compare those numbers. I highly recommend speaking to currently graduating international students from both programs about the challenges they have faced in their job searches and how helpful the career services and alumni base have been for them. Interestingly, Poets&Quants just
published the results of the MBA Career Services Counsel's survey of job prospects. While hiring is up overall, the
stats for international students are mixed. When there is such divergence among programs, it is critical to find eyes on the ground to help you make your decision.
