"Unique" means one of a kind, and nothing can be more "one of a kind" than anything else. The phrase "by far the most unique" needs to be taken out of the sentence and rearranged to properly use "unique" in the sentence. The only answer choice which correctly uses "unique" is "she was unique among all of the students at the academy."

For me, in addition to “unique”, “entire academy” is the split ends too.

“Entire” has to modify something that can be account as individual or as a group, it should be “students” or “group of students” in this case. Academy is only a single entity, so I don’t think it is good to use the word “entire academy”

This confirms choice E is correct.

The error that screams out in your ear here is the redundancy error.

By far, "the most unique" is way too awkward to be correct on GMAT. It sounds too bad(although that is not a great test to check for). But surely “by far” means one and the same as “the most” and hence only valid choice I see is E

With a painting style built on abstract shapes and Eastern techniques, she was by far the most unique student at the entire academy.

As per my understanding:

A. she was by far the most unique student at the entire academy. - wrong
Error Analysis :
" Unique" it self is unique word , which does not need most or more to it . It will be redundant.
best in the academy itself conveys the meaning that best in the entire academy , here entire will be redundant.

B. she was by far the most unique student of the ones at the academy. - redundant
(Most and Unique) and also says one among most unique ones which is wrong . Unique is only 1 .

C. she was the most unique student by far at the entire academy. -redundant ( Most - unique)

D. she was by far the most unique student among the entire academy.-redundant , also among the entire academy -- students

E. she was unique among all of the students at the academy.-Correct

Kudos , please ………………..

Agree

Between A & E
A is redundant most and unqiue word
Uniquie is almost self explanatory and doesn't need any prefix and adjective for further explanation

Hence E is better choice

A is a redundancy issue, "most unique"

Hence E is the best choice of the lot

A is incorrect because you cannot compare a student to an entire academy, whilst E is correct because a logical comparison is made between the students and all the other students at the academy.
