I have appeared for GMAT and got 735. There are few doubts in my mind. I am really seeking for an informative answer.
To start with, I am sharing certain details below.

Age - 26

Work experience - I have started working with my father in our business. We basically have a shop registered in India since 1989 where we provide photocopy, laminating, binding solutions and we also trade in office stationery goods. I am working here since 2012. Presently we have almost 3 million Indian rupees as our revenue figure.

Education - BCom honours with 1st class from University of Burdwan, India.
Presently CFA LEVEL 3 candidate.

Query - Can I use the above mentioned work experience as a valid work experience to apply for MBA in global b-schools? And from where I need to get LORs? I think I can't get it from my father, who is my on job supervisor.

Hi Shubhamkesh ,

Welcome to GMATClub :)

I think every work experience is good if you can really prove what impact you made and what had been the outcome. You need to show why you chose to work there and how it relates to your short term and long term goals. Then you also need to show why do you think MBA could help you make you grow.

If you can present these kind of information via a good story to the business schools, you are done.

P.S: Are you sure the score was 735? I have only seen the scores in the multiples of 10. :P

Is this your only work experience? With the info provided above it seems like it should be considered real work experience especially if you are working full time hours here. The more important thing will be highlighting your results and specific impact you have had on the business. Make sure you are also sharing the development you have had while working there especially on the interpersonal side
