(1) Ratio X:Y = 2:3
(2) Z equals half of the ratio X:Y and W equals thrice of the ratio X:Y. Question : z:w = ?Statement 1: X:Y = 2:3 No information about ratio of Z and W hence NOT SUFFICIENT Statement 2: Z equals half of the ratio X:Y and W equals thrice of the ratio X:Y.Z = (1/2)*(X:Y) W = (3)*(X:Y) Z:W = (1/2)/3 = 1/6 SUFFICIENT Answer: Option B

(1) Ratio X:Y = 2:3
(2) Z equals half of the ratio X:Y and W equals thrice of the ratio X:Y. Statement 2: Z equals half of the ratio X:Y and W equals thrice of the ratio X:Y.Z and Y are dependent on the ratio of X:Y which is unklnown hence NOT SUFFICIENT Answer: Option C Hi... You are wrong on statement II.. Statement I is clearly insuff.. However in statement II, z and w are realtors to same term x/y, so that is sufficient.. z=1/2*x/y w=3*x/y So z/w=1/(2*3)=1/6 Sufficient B
