Yayo-
I think you could benefit from Veritas tutoring. Check it out online. Otherwise, taking practice tests at a similar time and in a similar environment is advisable. Being Mexican gives you a diversity advantage, so if you could just get above 600 (ideally 650) you could find success.
Hello all!
My name is Yayo. I’m a Mexican Mechanical Engineer 2011 graduate, who now works on a manufacturing company in Mexico and is interested in pursuing a MBA or MBA/MSC degree on the US I’m new to posting on the forums but not to the forums. I’ve been reading several posts, guides, and tips. GMAT Club has been one of the main tools I’ve been using for my GMAT preparation.
I’ve enjoyed several of the stories that have been posted here and believe that sharing your story helps create a better community and get opinions and find the required motivation to keep on working on beating the GMAT.

Past weekend I got 550 on an exam that I had already taken and gotten 620!
I know that concentration has a great effect on the exam results, but this made me considerably worry on my 3rd official test. I have already invested some good time and money on this but did not submit applications last year for low scores. I don’t want for this to happen again this year and I only got less than 20 days left for my next exam. My goal is to get a score that’s near the 690±30.
I have been mainly studying from the
OG, GMAT club phone app, and SC on
E-Gmat. I’m still doing better on quant than verbal. But I’m always missing time on quant and have to blind-guess the last 7-9 problems and I usually finish verbal but with more mistakes than on verbal.
Putting yourselves in my position, how or what do you think I should focus my studies on the time before the exam? Verbal, Quant? More prep tests? Bunch of practice problems? Concepts?
Thanks for hearing me out. Any comments are very well appreciated and will be considered for my studies for the next exam.
Regards,
Yayo
