[A] 1
[B] 2
[C] 3
[D] none
[E] Infinite

Zero has infinite positive divisors but "Infinite" is beyond context of GMAT so such a confusing question can't be part of GMAT.

This question is just for understanding.

P.S=> Infinite is not beyond the part of GMAT. There are some exceptions.
More then the GMAT i think it will be a very important part of the MBA study(specially if one opts for statistics and data analysis)

Regards
StoneCold

"Infinite" in context of GMAT Studies will be better called "NOT DEFINED" however since you mentioned about the exceptions, so I would love to know the exception ever referred by GMAT OFFICIAL SOURCE. Request you to kindly share the exception :)

Thank you for the response=>GMATinsight
Please feel free to search the forum on infinite termed questions. you will find 100's of questions..
But since you asked => '...' represents infinity ; undefined represents Infinity too;
Try this out
if-the-infinite-sum-1-2-1-1-2-2-1-2-3-1-2-4-1-what-is-174967.html

Again ; i agree its a bit odd question but its sole purpose to test the knowledge => If you can shoot a birds eye => Man you can shoot a plane too :)

stonecold , GMATinsight , infinite number of solutions/infinity/not defined have not been in GMAT's scope.

stonecold , the question link that you posted above is for a veritas prep question and not an official question. GMATinsight wanted you to quote a question testing the knowledge of infinite solutions etc from official source and not any source. Asking a question for your understanding is fine but using that to justify out of scope usage of concepts is not going to help readers of this forum. If I follow your logic, then logs as well are in the scope of statistics but is not tested in GMAT (so is trigonometry).

I would request all to stick to what is usually asked in GMAT.

Thanks.
