Michelle - Accepted Admissions Consultant

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Michelle took me from a completely blank slate to three well-crafted essays for my Columbia Business School application. I started out thinking that my application was undifferentiated, but Michelle helped me draw on my experience, and asked probing questions to find unique points in my story. She then helped me find my "voice", and write about my experiences in a clear, concise manner. Michelle was also helpful in taking an 800-1,000 word essay and helping me keep all the points I wanted to make, while cutting the word count down to 500. She helped me focus on the clear actions that I took that would stick out to the admissions committee.

I would highly recommend MIchelle to other applicants. Michelle is very well versed in the CBS admission process.

The Very Very Best.

What can I say? I absolutely could not have survived this journey without Natalie. Her guidance throughout the whole process was second to none. I really enjoyed all of our conversations and I could not be more appreciative of her continuing support. In the end, it all worked out better than I could have imagined. I got admitted to my number one choice of USC and it was largely thanks to Natalie. She was highly accessible and we were able to create a plan to succeed together. She made me feel very comfortable and I always felt confident about my chances of getting into my top choice.

She is, by miles, the very best out there. Would recommend her to any/everyone I know who is looking to apply.

Madelaine is awesome! Getting into a top-tier business school is no easy feat. As a reapplicant, I was unsure how to best present my story and essays. Madelaine’s expert insight and detailed feedback were instrumental in enabling me to gain acceptance to Columbia Business School! Simply put, I could not have done it without her. Madelaine was a true joy to work with and genuinely cares about her clients. I also found the frequent webinars from Linda Abraham, Accepted’s president, to be extremely helpful during the application process. I highly recommend Madelaine and Accepted to anyone applying to business school!

Thank you, Jen at Accepted.com

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I am writing to very enthusiastically recommend Jen Weld at Accepted.com. In our first project together, Jen helped edit my resume and application essays. I appreciate how the end products were my own experiences, ideas, and words made better through her honest and direct feedback. Jen also coached me through two mock interview sessions. In these sessions Jen prepared me for the types of questions that I would face, provided coaching on timing and content, and gave me the confidence to perform in the real interviews. Jen also answered numerous questions about the admissions process. Her experience as a member of the admissions committee at Cornell provided excellent insight into how the AdCom will receive my application. I strongly believe that Jen’s guidance and coaching significantly contributed to my successful acceptance to the MIT EMBA class of 2019.

While evaluating several MBA admissions coaching services, I was attracted to Accepted.com because of the great, free content on their site and by the initial free session with Jen. I appreciated the chance to speak with Jen and establish rapport with her before plunking down money.

Jennifer has been a great support to me during the application process. I would like to call out her resume edits specially, she helped me shape my resume into one that was crisp and yet very effective. She helped me think through my experiences and articulate them to convey the message I wanted to in the finest form. She was very responsive and was supremely professional. She was a keen listener and had great eye for details. She has been patient throughout the process, and her calmness often gave me the strength to stand strong during the application process :) I would highly recommend Jennifer and the services of Accepted and Linda, to all the applicants.

Excellent guidance

I had a great experience with Accepted's consulting services and I absolutely recommend them.

I wanted to work with someone who would guide me objectively and with transparency and Karin is the perfect consultant for that. Throughout the process, she has been open to me about what will work and what won't. Her unbiased, thoughtful, and detail-oriented opinions have helped really fine tune and polish my essays.

Before settling down to work on the essays, I had some thought-provoking one-on-one talks with Karin, which really helped me figure out how to communicate who I am to the admissions and how to center the essays.

It has been a hard year, but I want to share with you these words because you have been a cornerstone to bring my dreams closer.

A year ago I was desperate looking for help to make my applications and full of stress because I was not able to dedicate all the time I wanted to my MBA dream. Then Esmeralda appear! For the first time, I was able actually to count with someone and to find some guidance during the process. It was the first time that I heard about Georgetown and the world full of possibilities. Unfortunately, I was not able to finish my application, I got "burned out" because of my work and in the end, I was frustrated because besides been sick I had accomplished nothing. But there, it was you who understand and gave the chance of trying again.

I have to confess that after finish my last of three applications a couple of days ago, I cry a bit. Finally, I was able to do it, and it was thanks to Esmeralda, and that is why I wanted to share this words even without knowing if I am going to be admitted to any school. I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart and highlight some of the aspects that I consider make Esmeralda's advice unique, sincere and incomparable.

1. It's not about making the essays, is about discover our strengths and share them. Here I was not a client that deliver a description and received an essay NO! Here I was a person, advice by another who patiently was guiding the process. Here I learned not only about MBA applications but about how to write an essay, how to make a video, how to handle an interview.

2. This a service of excellence. The knowledge of the consultant is amazing. They know what they are talking about. They can offer new possibilities and suggest new schools and different approaches always through a delicate but very direct feedback.

3. The level of commitment is incredible. I always received my essays on time even sometimes before the date. I always received answer for my emails immediately, and I never felt alone, I always feel the presence and the motivation of Esmeralda

4. I feel that is worth it. I have, to be honest; it is not easy to pay because it is a lot of money, but it totally deserves it. The help is fantastic.

Finally, I would make a special thank Esmeralda. It is hard to describe in words for another language the gratitude that I have for her. Her words were always a motivation to do not give up, to go ahead and try. It did not matter how many times we had to review something; the objective was to achieve the best essay, the best answer. Different from other experience here, thanks to Esmeralda, I never feel like a client, I feel more like a student in a school in which my teacher really care about me. I was surprised how well Esmeralda got to know me, how she was able to memorize all my life, all my goals, all my dreams and have a pool of options ready for a new essay, for a new school. It was so great working with her, that I have to confess that I am going to miss that!

How Accepted helped me get accepted

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I applied to 7 top US MBA programs last year, interviewed at 5, and, IMO, I didn't bomb any interview except one. I don't know what happened, but I didn't manage even a Wait-list, let alone an acceptance. I turned to Jennifer (referred to me by a trusted adviser) for a ding analysis on a couple of applications to get some insights on what went wrong. Jennifer's reviews were sharp, and provided me with a starting point on how the Admissions Committee views applicants. It set the tone for a period of self-reflection I later went into.

I decided to apply to Columbia ASAP, but I faced a major roadblock - I didn't know how to represent my candidature as a re-applicant. I turned to Jennifer again, and she really helped me re-align my goals and think about ways I could draft a strong re-applicant essay. Not only did she provide accurate reviews, but also enabled me to draft better essays (answering the "why" and "how" rather than just the "what"). I think this helped me turn around my CBS application this time.

In essence, I enjoyed working with Jennifer - got to learn a whole lot of tips and tricks of writing stellar essays. I would highly recommend taking Jennifer's help in b-school applications. And, having said all of that, Jennifer provided the best insights in the shortest time-frame possible (I took Accepted's hourly services, and for the number of hours I purchased, I don't think any admissions consulting firm can provide as much as Jennifer did).

Having said that, when I look back, I realize what turned it around for me at CBS - Jennifer's recommendation on why I should write the optional essay. :)

Cheers!
