GMAT 705 (Q87, V85, DI83) with e-GMAT

Strengths:

Course structure : Diagnostic -> Learning -> Cementing
Really helped me get the concepts right in a guided and tested manner.

SigmaX mocks were also extremely helpful in getting myself ready for the actual exam.

Would make the product better:

Solutions for some Verbal questions were not sufficient and were a little frustrating to get around.

The number I keep coming back to is not the 705. It is the 655 I scored on my second attempt, two months after my official mocks had me hitting 715 and 725 comfortably. That drop is what my whole prep story is really about, because the thing that took me from a heartbroken 655 to a 705 in the 98th percentile was learning to trust data over my own instincts.

I am an engineer who has worked as an analyst for over four years, so I assumed quant would take care of itself. My first diagnostic mock came back at 575. The questions were wordier than anything I had solved before and I had genuinely forgotten concepts. The e-GMAT number properties modules fixed that faster than I expected. Divisibility, remainders, all of it condensed in one place in a way I could not find anywhere else. The course flow of module, quizzes in between, then a cementing quiz at the end meant quant was close to a one-time effort. I never had to circle back and relearn, and on the hard question analytics my accuracy sat between 70 and 90 percent across the four quant blocks by the end, which mapped almost exactly to my Q87.

Verbal is where the analytics genuinely surprised me. My own read was that critical reasoning was my weak area and reading comprehension was fine, so I kept feeding time into CR. The cementing quiz data said the opposite. RC was where I was quietly bleeding, and CR had already hit its ceiling. I spent my final stretch fixing RC instead, and on test day I missed a single RC question. That is the entire reason my verbal finally moved from 83 to 85, and I would never have found it on my own.

The other piece I have to credit is the Sigma X mocks. The official mocks flattered me by 50 to 60 points and set me up for that second attempt disaster. Sigma X scored me 685, 695 and 735 in the weeks before my exam, and the real result landed at 705. The difficulty and the timing pressure matched what I actually sat. My mentor reviewing those mock reports with me also caught things I had missed, like the four minutes I was spending just reading an RC passage.

One honest caveat: the mocks and hard question sets do not go easy on you, and after the official mocks they can feel discouraging. They are simply closer to the real exam. If you are a retaker who keeps scoring below your mock average and cannot figure out why, this is the course I would point you to, because its data will show you where your instincts are wrong.
