Strengths:

I think GMAT Whiz provides an extremely structured methodology to approach both GMAT Quant and Verbal. The quizzes are great and challenging. The lectures are quite thorough and there's always something new to learn even if you are good at a give topic.

Would make the product better:

A minor thing that could improve would be the score predictor and the recommendations on the portal. I never used these a generally just went ahead and did the things that I wanted to do. The score predictor on GMAT Club was much more accurate predicting my eventual score of 655.

Overall I am quite thankful to Piyush, Sunita and their team at GMAT Whiz for helping me achieve a great score. The improvements in verbal were a real game-changer for me and the involved reading method helped me avoid silly mistakes in quant. I had always struggled with verbal and my reading in general wasn't great. The GMATWhiz approach helped me build a method that got consistency in my verbal scores which previously were all over the place. The tutor sessions helped me hone this approach and make it my own. I did more than 15 verbal tests before the exam on GMAT Whiz and GMAT Club and consistently scored 82-83 (Eventual score 82) This gave me tremendous confidence for the actual exam. My main problem with quant was not reading questions properly and missing out key information. This also improved thanks to the involved reading method. I also viewed the quant lectures on their portal and they are quite impressive. As someone who considers themselves good at quant, I still found newer shorter ways of solving problems which also helped. Their quizzes are quite hard but doing them also gave me the confidence to take on the actual exam which was expected to be easier. Finally the strategy webinars from GMAT Whiz are a class apart from anything else and this helped me fix some general issues with my exam strategy. I would highly recommend GMAT Whiz to anyone aspiring to take GMAT!

Strengths:

GMATWhiz’s biggest strength lies in its personalized, concept-first, and strategy-focused tutoring. Piyush has a razor-sharp eye for identifying gaps that even students don’t realize exist after 1000s of practice questions. His mentorship is tailored, honest, and brutally effective, he doesn’t just tell you what to do, he teaches you how to think. The structured feedback loop, quality of explanations, and emphasis on critical thinking over shortcuts made me enjoy even the hardest Quant and Verbal questions something I used to dread.

Sunita Ma’am’s Verbal coaching was equally exceptional, her technique driven reading strategies for RC and CR helped me tackle passages efficiently without back andforth rereads.

Also, the GMATWhiz platform itself is a goldmine it has intelligent planning tools (AI planner), level based question banks, video explanations, and testing features that are incredibly effective even without a tutor.

Would make the product better:

Honestly, nothing. From the tutor support to the platform features, everything was spot on. The only regret I have is not reaching out to GMATWhiz earlier in my journey I could have saved a year of going in circles.

After three attempts over two years with various self-study courses (Indian and global), I was stuck in the 650 zone. Even the GMAT Focus Edition couldn’t shake that plateau I dropped to 595 at one point. Despite working hard and solving 1000s of questions, I wasn’t making progress, especially in Quant. Even my strength Verbal started slipping. That’s when I found Piyush from GMATWhiz, and honestly, everything changed.

From day one, he reassured me that the issue wasn’t effort it was precision. He rebuilt my approach from the ground up. His guidance was laser-focused on not just fixing weak spots but developing the thinking structure needed to tackle 700+ level questions.

Within weeks, I was solving hard questions with ease, and I genuinely started enjoying the prep (something I never thought would happen). Eventually, I brought in Sunita Ma’am for Verbal coaching too her reading strategy revolutionised how I tackled RC and CR.

Despite a surprising low DI percentile in one attempt (625), Piyush didn’t let me lose confidence. His belief in me pushed me to retake it again just days later and I finally scored 655 (GMAT Focus) with 94th percentile in Verbal and 84th in DI. I loved GMAT by the end I was solving questions on GMAT Club for fun after office hours!

If someone asks me for GMAT advice, I say this: Talk to Piyush. Do what he says. Don’t look elsewhere. He’s a mentor in the truest sense not just a tutor.

GMATWhiz didn’t just help me crack the test it helped me rebuild my confidence, rewire my thinking, and actually fall in love with learning again. I cannot recommend it enough.

After attaining a 605, I had almost lost faith until I came across GMATWHIZ.

The course overall is top-notch. The concept building, techniques building videos are gems. The quizzes (both, concepts booster after each session and other quizzes) are the cherries on the cake.
I exhausted all of the Problem solving and Verbal questions from practice quiz. And, that helped me boost my stamina in each of the sections.

Tutors:

Piyush sir for QUANT:
He provided with me all the tricks that proved extremely helpful. He constantly boosted my morale that kept me going.

Sunita ma'am:
The reason behind the insane jump in Verbal from 51 to 90 percentile is her.
She literally taught me to read the passages (RC, CR). I enjoyed solving verbal questions in the exam.

Strengths:

Focused one on one training, analyzing the students strengths and weakness and honing both for optimal score.
Honest and to the point reviews from the tutors.
Tutors are extremely helpful, professional and state honest feedback for improvements.

Would make the product better:

Ensuring student's commitment and discipline to the timeline

I had tried the e-courses of two platform but despite getting clarity on subjects and having the fundamentals clear, I was unable to score higher. In fact, in my first two attempts I scored a 575 and 605.
When I subscribed for the personal tutoring from GmatWhiz, both the tutors (Mr Piyush for Quant and Ms Sunita for Verbal) helped a lot to cover up the missing grounds. The best part is they listen and understand your story completely and then recommend the line of action based on your strengths and weakness.
At all times they will be extremely honest with you, never misleading you about your preparations and at the same time will never discourage. In my case, I was able to understand where I was faltering and the minor adjustments like calming down, the importance of not rushing, and how to intelligently cover all the three sections, where to spend time and where it could be avoided.
I also found the regular webinar sessions quite helpful but the personal tutoring covers the limitations if any. It would be recommended to go for this course even if one is starting or is stuck at one's preparations or same score range!

Strengths:

-AI-driven personalized study plan that identifies weak areas quickly
-Targeted learning approach instead of a one-size-fits-all method
-Exceptional tutors (Sunita & Piyush) who provide personalized coaching, test-taking strategies, and structured study plans
-Module-wise content and short quizzes for efficient concept building
-Time management guidance and weekly prep schedules to keep students on track

Would make the product better:

More full-length adaptive mock tests to simulate real GMAT conditions

I used GMATWhiz for my second GMAT attempt, and it made a huge difference—especially in Quant, where I saw significant improvement. My DI percentile jumped to 96%, thanks to the smart test-taking strategies they taught.

What truly set GMATWhiz apart was its AI-driven portal. Instead of making me go through every topic and solve hundreds of questions, they had me take three difficult quizzes upfront to identify my weak areas. This was very helpful. For example, despite completing an entire traditional course last year, I still had no clue what the 'Remainder Theorem' was. GMATWhiz pinpointed my gaps and enabled me to focus on exactly what I needed, making my prep far more efficient and effective.

Beyond just structured learning, Sunita and Piyush played a huge role in my success. As this was my second attempt, I was struggling with self-doubt and confidence issues. But they believed in me every step of the way, constantly motivating me to push forward. Their private tutoring sessions were absolute game-changers. They would observe me solve questions, carefully noting my approach and timing, and then guide me on how to improve—whether it was choosing a faster method, avoiding unnecessary steps, or managing time better.

The test-taking strategies they shared, along with the weekly timetables and tasks, kept my prep streamlined, even alongside my hectic work hours. I had just 1.5 months to prepare, and they helped me maximize every moment, ensuring I stayed on track and made the most out of my prep.

Their module-wise content and short, targeted quizzes made learning engaging and enjoyable. Rather than drowning in endless problem sets, I built a deeper conceptual understanding, which was invaluable during the actual exam.

I’m not here to promote one course over another—just sharing my experience in the hope that it helps others make an informed choice. Prep can be a critical step in your journey, and finding the right approach matters.

Strengths:

1. Can be completed in short time and covers almost everything to get get good score.
2. Price is less as compared to others.
3. Indian instructors (they can relate more to indian students).

Would make the product better:

1. UI/UX can be improved.
2. Can provide text files for all lectures and also add notes feature for all lectures.

I started my preparation in 2023. I studied using the Official Guide (OG) and free videos on YouTube. After gaining a good grasp of the verbal and quant sections, I took the GMAT Classic in October 2023 and scored 650. I was not satisfied with my score but felt exhausted from the preparation, so I took a break for 3–4 months.

After that, I resumed my preparation, this time focusing on the GMAT Focus. Data Insights (DI) was a new section, and I prepared for it using free resources from YouTube. I followed the same approach for quant and verbal and began taking official mocks. My average score in mocks was around 615, which was still lower than my target of at least 655.

At this point, I decided to seek a personal tutor and started searching for one. I came across the GMAT Whiz Tutor plan and spoke with Piyush from GMAT Whiz. He was the most genuine person I encountered during my GMAT preparation. He provided valuable insights into my weaknesses and estimated how much time I would need to improve.

I decided to enroll in the GMAT Whiz course and took five sessions each for quant and verbal. DI was covered along with quant and verbal.

During my quant sessions, Piyush analyzed my approach to solving different types of questions and provided specific insights into my weak areas. He pointed out topics like LCM/GCD and inequalities, which I had never considered my weak points. After reviewing these topics through the GMAT Whiz course, I saw significant improvement.

The same happened with my verbal sessions with Sunita Ma’am. She assessed my approach to reading passages and answering questions, identifying areas where I could improve. One key insight that helped me was learning to connect sentences from different paragraphs in a passage. Her advice, along with the GMAT Whiz video lectures and quizzes, significantly improved my verbal skills.

After preparing for quant and verbal, I finalized my strategy for DI with Piyush and Sunita Ma’am during my last quant and verbal sessions. I practiced a few MSRs and non-math problems in verbal sessions with Sunita Ma’am and worked on math-related DI questions in quant sessions with Piyush.

I followed GMAT Whiz’s strategy of focusing fully on the initial questions and giving them extra time if needed. If I ran out of time, I guessed only the last few questions. Earlier, I used to check the time after every five questions, which was distracting.

Following this approach and applying what I learned from my sessions and the GMAT Whiz course, I saw my mock scores improve. My average score increased from 615 to around 665. My quant score improved from 83 to 85, verbal from 82 to 84, and DI from 77 to 80.

I booked my GMAT Focus exam for January 8, 2025, and scored 665 (Q84, V83, DI82). It felt great to improve from a 650 on the GMAT Classic to a 665 on the GMAT Focus, which is equivalent to a 720 on the GMAT Classic.

Thanks to the GMAT Whiz team, Piyush Sir, and Sunita Ma’am for helping me improve in all areas of the GMAT.

I will be honest about this review. Since, I had very less time ~3 months to prepare for my GMAT, I decided to take the GMAT whiz tutor course.

Quant: The quant course material is very well designed to get you going with the basics, so you can advance your level prep in tutoring sessions.

Verbal: Sunita ma'am is great. She understands your weaknesses and helps you fine tune your concepts. In verbal, I believe that GMAT Whiz needs to improve on the online course structure. I opted for the tutoring thats why I had a swift ride.

I am thankful to Piyush, Sunita Ma'am and Shubhankar sir for their support and help.

I am so glad that I chose GmatWhiz to prepare for my Gmat Exam. I only had a limited amount of time to study and we really made the most of it. My tutor Shreyyash helped me a ton especially with my time management.
I also received a personal offer since none of the AI learning personalized plans really fit my situation. This way, I didnt have to pay full rate while still being able to access the full course. In the end, I was able to get the score I needed for my Uni application thanks to GmatWhiz!

GmaṭWhiz improved my score and my understanding of the questions and approach . The portal is extremely good and the AI helps in providing structural guidance and plans . The verbal section is designed in such a way that all the relevant information is covered up and its super easy to understand. The Quant section has tough sums but from the videos and the tough questions a student will be able to do questions with logic and deep understanding of the variables in play in the question . The Gmat tutor Prep is something I would recommend for all students. The teachers are very experienced .They are focus more on the understanding and approach of the student and very easily dissect the problem and help in using the right approach to a question . And once a student follows this new approach he/she can easily score a high score . The GmatWhiz tutors helped my understand the intended meaning of the question, understand the way a question needs to be addressed and finally teach me the most full proof method of getting answers correct. Their classes and their videos together helped me improve my marks and really dissect the paper and make it approachable .

My GMAT story is a long one. Considering how hard it was to get my dream score, there were times where I did not think there ever would be a “GMAT story” with a positive outcome for me. Finding the balance between knowing when to stop and pushing through when necessary is tough but I am very happy that my score turned around eventually. That said, I would have – literally – never been able to achieve my score without GmatWhiz. Having tried the Manhattan books, The Economist Prep and parts of E-Gmat, there is honestly no course like GmatWhiz. Now, since this sounds like an advertisement, let me explain why.
For me, it made a huge difference to not only have the online setup where you can study by yourself, but also an expert looking on what you are doing. A huge issue for me was to figure out what it exactly is that I need to do in order to achieve my target. I went through a lot of material before and even though I was able to improve my score, the fact that I just went through it without expert knowledge made my score fluctuate by sometimes even up to 100 (!) points. Additionally, I was not able to perform the same on the real test as I did in mocks. After achieving a 580 on the real test even though I had a 640 on my mock just before, I was flirting with the idea of giving up. In my mind, my last chance was to find a private tutor, pay a huge load of money and start from scratch. This is when I got into contact with Piyush and he set up a meeting with Saquib to find out what was going on. Saquib knew the test and material so well that he immediately understood what we needed to focus on. He tested questions and topics on me and we (for example) found out that my performance on easier questions needed to be way better while the accuracy on harder questions was quite good already. Finding this out and also finding an ally that assured me that, contrary to my belief at that stage, I am able to get my dream score made me sign up for the course. I found the price very fair and before giving up I though I would give it one last chance.
The questions on the course are - at least in my opinion - better than in the other courses I did because they are a good balance in terms of difficulty. Since I found the real test harder in Quant, I was super happy that the level felt very similar on the course but also not unnecessarily more difficult or confusing. Every time you have a session with an expert, you can walk through the questions and find errors, blind spots or also show how you got to your solution (or mistake) to make sure that during the exam your approach is solid. Talking to an expert, he or she will even be able to tell you what kind of mistakes you can never do again or which ones you can at least have lesser accuracy on (depending on your target of course). You really have somebody you can walk through your thought process while you are reading or calculating something and get feedback on how to become more efficient.
For me, all these steps were key for finally going to the test center and getting out there with not only my target score of 680 but an even higher one of 710 and never (let that sink in) do this ever again. For that achievement, all their effort and faith in me, the team definitely deserves this long review and a big thank you from my side :-)

Hi ,

super happy for you. How much time did it take for you to jump from 460 to 710?
