Consultant Alex Salton
Background: I graduated from Creighton University, scored a 635 on the GMAT Focus, and came from a background in investment banking and venture capital.
I cannot give enough praise for Alex. He was an absolute joy to work with throughout my MBA application process. I worked with Alex on three applications (Wharton, Harvard, and Stanford) and was accepted to two of the three. If you're looking for a consultant who can take your application to the next level and put you in a position to be highly competitive (even if your background / stats are not as strong), Alex is a great fit for you. Particularly, Alex was helpful in the following areas:
• Unlocking my story: Alex has a real gift for digging into your background and surfacing what actually makes you who you are (the traits, values, and experiences that define you as a leader and business person). He gets incredibly granular in the details and pushes you well beyond where you would naturally stop. I came away from our sessions understanding my own narrative better than I had going in
• Being timely and flexible when it mattered most: I joined the process late for round two, and Alex didn't miss a beat. He got me up to speed quickly and made sure I still had a fully polished application by the deadline, without cutting corners on quality
• Genuinely understanding how I work: Alex takes the time to learn your personality. What motivates you, how you think, how you communicate, and adapts his approach accordingly. It never felt like a one-size-fits-all process; it felt tailored to me and he let me be me and built around that
• Amazing Writer: I have not come across many people who can write like Alex. He makes every word count in every section of the application and has no patience for fluff. He consistently pushes you toward action over description, so the admissions committee sees exactly what you did and the impact you drove. He has a real talent for distilling your drafts down to what matters, while still pushing you to go further than you thought you needed to
Even after I submitted my applications, Alex stayed just as engaged. He put real time into interview prep, and I felt far more confident and natural going into my interviews as a result. Even beyond that, he continued checking in and offering support well past the point where he needed to. By the end of it all, Alex felt less like a consultant and more like someone genuinely invested in my success.
