Hi
I have taken e-gmat course for my Verbal prep. And I have few points to share:
1. SC part is really good. Meaning based approach really worked for me.
2. CR part is very confusing and I would not like to recommend. It's very time consuming I believe.
3. RC is also fine but it depends on ones capabilities in verbal. I really liked the cementing section. But I feel if you are not good at Verbal then whether you have taken their RC course or not, it does not matter at all.
I did not get time to use their quant section much. But it is very lengthy. If someone is planning to take GMAT in a month or so then you would not be able to cover all the topics but if you are just starting with the prep of GMAT and this might work for you.
I took a mock after about a month of on and off official guide practice- I got a 660 (Q43 V38). My quant fundamentals were weak since I had not done math in about 10 years.
I went through the trial versions of a few service providers. Target Test Prep seemed super intimidating at first, and I almost didn't subscribe to it. However, when I started to use it, I fell in love with the structure, the explanations and the interface. The 5 day trial with full access really allows you to take full benefit. They have an accelerated study plan versus a fullly structured one. I did the former.
For somebody with almost zero quant background, TTP was a life saver. There is an underlying 'do not panic' vibe through the entire course. The highlights, the notes and the search for keyword features were incredible. I could find problems that I needed more practice with so easily, as well as search for sub-lessons readily. The verbal section is also equally good! All of the concepts are there and the examples are very very good. I did not use any other material to prep (other than the Manhattan tests after my first official attempt, since I had exhausted my official tests).
I chose the flexible plan due to paucity of time- I really stretched myself thin in the two months and I went slightly off the course recommended path. I took my first official GMAT on November 26 and got a 640. I panicked and reached out to Scott. He said that I just need to do the fundamentals again and I'd be good. I realized as I did that and took a few Manhattan prep tests, that TTP had given me super strong fundamentals, and I just needed to calm my nerves. I decided to take it again on December 18, and I was set. My concepts were so clear that I managed a 760 (Q48 V47) even with a fever.
For anybody willing to invest some time to get better at the GMAT, I will wholly recommend TTP! It's affordable, easy to use and makes you feel as if you've got it under control.
The Verbal Section is excellent, and the videos helped me a lot. The Quant Section could be better, but I did not utilise it well, coming from a Quant rich background. The Sentence Correction did help me, and the reading comprehension techniques were good. The Quiz mode lags a lot and the team needs to improve it a lot. Overall it was helpful and would suggest someone utilise it. The AI approach is unique and actually showcases our weak areas in a better way. The overall experience was good, especially for the verbal section. The Materials available are divided into sections andd represents the right amount of dificulty.
E-Gmat offers a comprehensive course with several Concept and Practice quizzes to help get a good grasp on concepts of both Verbal and Quant. The level of detail with which each topic is discussed really helped cement the concept , especially the pre-thinking framework in the CR and RC course is very immersive and helps deconstruct the passage to a great extent.Once thorough with the course, one can easily try their hands at the Scholaranium which has close to 1000 practice questions on Verbal and Quant each along with helpul insights on time taken by you vs the median time. Sigma Mock is identical in design to the GMAT official practice test, with added advantage of detailed explanation following each question and analysis of time spent on each question. This helps you identify your weak areas and work on them.
Hey Swat1234,
Welcome to Club 700 and thank you for taking the time to jot down what you felt helped from the course.
I loved to see that you scored the same split on your GMAT as you did on your Sigma-X Mock. It’s not only identical in terms of exam experience but in terms of score too!

I am happy to hear you used the Median time feature, since every student wants to know if they performed better than at least 50% students. Having that context and information allows you to make better decisions to fine-tune abilities.

I wish you all the best on your future journey as part of the LM program!

TTP offers a great course that covers all topics for a very reasonable price of 100$/month.
Pros:
- explatations are easy to understand
- important points are highlighted and can be bookmarked for review later
- an excercise right after almost every sub-chapter to solidify the concept learned
- a lot of chapter tests for every topic
- error log
- chat function connects you to one of the tutors
- strategy section teaches you about mindset and test-taking
Cons:
- the first answer you get when you ask a question in chat is mediocre, so you need to ask follow-up questions in order to understand what you wanted to know
- for verbal there are not enough practice excercises or chapter tests (at least for me)
Generally I was very satisfied with TTP, especially considering the price. If you do decide to take this course I would recommend doing additional verbal practice questions here on gmatclub (maybe this only applies to me since I am weaker in verbal than in quant).

Dear Akshat,
Congratulations on scoring a 710 on the GMAT!

e-GMAT Secret Sauce: https://success.e-gmat.com/SC-Secret-Sauce

I reached out to Piyush as I was stuck at my GMAT score of 680-700 despite 6 months of work. I had gone through multiple course loads and solved over 1000 questions in verbal and math.
I took a leap of faith and signed up with GMATWhiz.
After 5 lessons with Sunita, I was able to identify the issues that I had and was able to improve my Verbal score by 8 points from 33 to 41.
I feel that the GMATWhiz AI is sophisticated enough to realize your weaknesses and can really help you improve those area.
It also helped that the course load was not voluminous and I was able to complete it in a period of 20 days.
I only wish that I could have spent similar amount of time on Math with GMATWhiz (who knows, I may have even gotten a 760)
Highly recommend taking their course and the tutoring package
As someone who works full-time and hasn't studied for a test since graduating college, I give TTP full credit for helping me achieve my goal score. I started my GMAT journey with a different test prep course and got a 720 on my first attempt but was unsatisfied with my Quant performance, so I decided to retake. After some careful research, I landed on TTP. I'm lucky I did, because TTP is exactly what I needed to brush up on my weak Quant areas and stay motivated after months of studying while working full-time.
TTP has thorough explanations of concepts and covers everything you need to know for Quant. The course does a great job of not only providing in-depth explanations, but also summarizing key takeaways (‘Must-Knows’). Although I mainly used TTP for Quant, the parts of the Verbal course I did were similarly spectacular.
With the other course I used, it was easy to fall into the trap of forgetting content I had previously reviewed. By using TTP, I avoided falling into this trap because TTP not only incorporated questions throughout each chapter, but also had review tests that included questions from previous chapters. For Quant especially, the key to solidifying my understanding of concepts ultimately came down to drilling questions.
TTP also has several features that really helped me succeed. First, the progress tracking: the progress bars for each chapter kept me motivated to study even after a long work day, and I often found myself studying more than I initially planned. Additionally, TTP’s custom tests allowed me to build my own problem sets using a variety of customizable settings, including specific chapters and difficulty levels. TTP also keeps an error log of questions you’ve gotten wrong and even allows you to create custom tests from these. I was previously keeping track of an error log manually, so this saved me a lot of valuable study time. Finally, TTP has easy-to-use note-taking and bookmark features. Note-taking is as simple as highlighting some text in a lesson, and the bookmark feature lets you save a specific question, Must-Know, or even entire lesson. I used both features throughout the course, and being able to easily review my problem areas in the days leading up to my test kept the information fresh in my mind.
Thank you TTP for building such a well thought-out platform and effective study plan, I truly believe it is the golden standard of any test prep platform.
I was really impressed with what e-gmat does for the prep. Their methodology works. Hands-down the best course that's out there. It was a unique experience and it has sharpened my verbal ability by a lot. The data that these guys give in scholaranium is just next level. You just need time to work on your weaknesses and you will be set for that elusive 700+ score.
I have other friends who bought the e-gmat course. No one got less than 700. The course feels a bit slow at some point, but i believe it builds up the required basics of the language. The verbal section was so so good. Can't even describe how good it was. It was just next level. I was skeptical spending hundreds of dollars but it was so worth it as i got my 710 in the first attempt itself. If you are looking for a course, buy this blindly and then spend time on this religiously, You will not regret it.
Dear Nigam,
Thank you for dropping us a GMAT Club review. It means a lot to us that you think e-GMAT is all that a student needs to be successful at the GMAT. I would love to say I feel the same way, but your friends would attest to the same! 😊
Scholaranium does list out your weakness by difficulty, average correct, and incorrect time among other things.

I believe that each GMAT course should be like a diesel engine, it should build up slowly from what you may or may not know to sure shot performance. Most diesel cars have way better performance than their petrol versions.
Thank you for spending your hard-earned money on our course and being a wonderful ambassador.
Take care and stay safe.

Working with Harry was the best decision I made during my GMAT preparation. During our time together, Harry instilled in me a systematic, gimmick-free process to attacking the GMAT that gave me the best odds at reaching my target score. More impressively, he tailored the sessions based on my weaknesses and delivered the sessions in a cordial manner. Lastly, when I had to travel halfway around the world in the middle of our sessions, Harry gladly accommodated my new schedule with a convenient session time. After two months working with Harry, I walked away with a 750!
P.S. Don’t be afraid to ask Harry for book recommendations!
Hi Sunita96,
Thank you so much for taking the time to post your review!
I am so glad to hear that you loved the SC course and the meaning-based approach! I can see that you put in a lot of time and effort into internalising the process and I am happy to hear that it helped you. Your input that the course is perfect for someone just starting their prep is also valuable.
I am sorry that CR was a sticking point for you. However, the reason is something you will find on your account - you kind of gave up on the course – your practice quiz scores needed to be at least 80% and then you did not cement what you learned. If you decide to retake the test, then I would recommend doing the CR course from scratch and following the cementing process to a tee so that you can iron out any gaps. I would also recommend studying just one subsection at a time.
Your CR Stats: https://success.e-gmat.com/CR-Metrics
The RC course is built to explain techniques that will work for students with diverse abilities and they have, however I can understand that it may not have worked wonders for you. We will work hard on making sure we take your feedback. If you have more specific feedback, you must write to us and share it at [email protected]
While the Quant course is exhaustive (it targets all the potential topics you could be tested on in the GMAT), the P.A.C.E tool, with its diagnostic quizzes, allows you to target only your weak areas and creates an atomic learning path that would have allowed you to focus on just the areas that needed attention. Hence, it makes what looks like a lengthy course, super LEAN 😊
I am sorry that you were not able to achieve your dream score, but the path to success is dependent on diligence and following the process. It is essential that you take the right steps so that you can ensure you are on the path to success. We hope you take them soon!
We wish you all the best!
