I reached out to Vikram in late December when I was planning to apply in Round 2 for the 2025 MBA cycle, primarily targeting a few European schools that I believed were within my reach. At that time, my confidence was quite low because of my GRE score, and I assumed those were the only schools I had a realistic shot at. My initial intention was simply to get my essays reviewed before submitting applications.

However, Vikram suggested starting with a one-on-one profile evaluation. That conversation turned out to be a pivotal moment in my journey. He helped me see that my profile was stronger than I had perceived, and that my GRE score was the main factor holding me back. Instead of encouraging me to proceed with rushed applications, he advised me to pause, retake the GRE, and apply in Round 1 of the 2026 cycle with a stronger overall profile.

I followed his advice, focused on my preparation, and improved my GRE score to 330. When I reconnected with him, I opted for the full 5-school package. Vikram and Mitra then worked closely with me, starting from my life story and helping me build a clear, cohesive narrative.

Through this process, I gained a much deeper understanding of my own experiences. I initially believed I lacked leadership experience, but Vikram helped me identify and articulate meaningful examples that I had overlooked. He also encouraged me to expand my school list and consider US programs, which I hadn’t seriously thought about before.

I’m happy to share that I was admitted to University of Virginia Darden School of Business, which was a fantastic outcome for me.

Overall, what stood out was Vikram’s honest and long-term approach. Instead of pushing me toward immediate applications, he guided me toward making decisions that significantly improved my chances. I’m very grateful for his support throughout this journey.
