After stupidly wasting my time by trying to use/learn from various resources for verbal, I knew that I needed a change. My main weakness was SC section so I needed a really high-quality resource that would prepare me well. I switched my focus and decided to focus on one resource per part at maximum. After a lot of researching and reading I decided to go for e-GMAT with my SC prep. I read a lot of positive reviews about e-GMAT and hoped that they could deliver.
It was a great decision, which improved my Verbal score significantly. I can only praise and recommend e-GMAT for the Verbal preparation part of the GMAT. You won't regret it!
I believe that e-GMAT is the best Verbal resource out there. I started with a Verbal score between 30-34. My weakness was SC and so I decided to try e-Gmat which was notoriously known for its SC approach.
E-gmat SC approach is very quick, efficient and definitely helped me achieve 40 for Verbal part on my test day.
What I would recommend: Stick to one course/approach per section. Do not wander around with many different companies. You will only get confused. For me it was e-GMAT for SC (The best course for SC in my opinion), PowerScore for CR and gmat club for RC.
Gmat Club Tests are very helpful especially when one aims at 700+ score. Tests are composed to enrich one's skills in hardest questions. Real GMAT is a little bit easier. But practicing harder questions will help you be more successful in real GMAT. On the other hand, GMAT Club tests are more focused on Quant section, so verbal section is much weaker and I used another courses and sources to master Verbal. I really appreciate the option to train only specific topic of questions with specific level. This has helped me a lot in practicing weaker parts of my GMAT test and surely helped me to score more in real test. To sum up, if you want to brush up your quant, I fully recommend GMAT Club Tests. On the other hand, if you feel weak in verbal, you should try to find any other course as a core one and use GMAT Club as a subsidiary source of materials.
