erlandgas I agree with Susan. I think the additional note your are proposing seems pandering and very odd, do not recommend that. Confused because the concerns seems to be around your genuine interest in CBS not whether or not you would bring diversity to CBS.
I can understand why she might question the fit with CBS; engineering management is not their forte so she wants to know, if we pick you, would you really pick us too? or, she might be asking questions to get underneath your Why MBA. Wanting to understand your true motivations/intentions.
Do make sure to fully research programs in the future online and offline, and develop a specific value proposition you offer and they offer to you. This is the essence of fit.
If you plan to write another note, I would suggest you come up something like this: how CBS is specially equipped to help you achieve your short term goal, ideal post-MBA outcome.

I just finished an interview. I have mixed feelings about how it went. It flowed well, but I didn't answer Why Columbia well. I mentioned the finance reputation and consulting placement, but it didn't seem to be enough. My interviewer seemed to think One of my goals (engineering management) was unnecessary to do at CBS and could be done at a lesser program. I've written the person a thank you email. Would it be ok to send another message saying this, "Also, another aspect that I feel brings diversity and helps my learning team is that I'm hispanic. I’m Mexican-American, and there are many different ways my culture views solving problems." Interviewer will submit probably tomorrow..... so need to know soon. Interviewer is hispanic too.
I tried my best to sell myself to her that I wanted Columbia, but it seems the interviewer was playing devils advocate and not buying. It went for about 50 minutes. Body Language I thought was good, she was laughing and smiling at times. Still something felt wrong the whole time like she thought I really didn't know much about CBS and my 1st goal isn't needed at CBS (the other 2 of consulting/IB are big at CBS but she didn't seem to want to talk about that much).
