Total loaves sold that month = 1000 = S + R + W
Given S is 40% of total => S = 40% of 1000 = 400
Also S exceeds R by 150
S = R + 150
R = 250
1000 = 400 + 250 + W
W = 350

If the bakery sold 1,000 loaves in that month, select for Whole wheat loaves the number of whole wheat loaves sold, and select for Rye loaves the number of rye loaves sold in that month. Make only two selections, one in each column.

The sourdough sales exceed rye sales by 150 loaves.
\(400 - 150 = 250\)
It sold 250 rye loaves.
\(250 + 400 = 650\)
\(1,000-650=350\)
It sold 350 whole wheat loaves
Answer: 350 whole wheat loaves and 250 rye loaves
