WW = y
SD = Z
R = X

as SD Exceed Rye sale by 150 Lobes so SD = Z = X+150
Total Sale = 1000 lobes

So Y+X+150+X = 1000
WW = Y= 850-2X

now
(X+150) = 40/100 (1000)
X= 400-150 = 250

So,
Rye = 250 Lobes
SD = 400 Lobes
WW = 350 Lobes

whole wheat = w,
sourdough = s,
and rye = r.

w + s + r = 1000 ...(i)
s = 40% of 1000 = 400 ...(ii)
r = s - 150 = 250 ...(iii)

Putting (ii) and (iii) in (i) we get,
w = 350.

(w, r) = (350, 250)

Sourdough sales are 40% of 1000, so 400 loaves.
Rye sales are 400 - 150 = 250 loaves.
Whole wheat sales are 1000 - 400 - 250 = 350 loaves.
Whole wheat loaves: 350, Rye loaves: 250.

Total breads = W+S+R

S=40%T

S=R+150

Given T=1000

Final values:
S=400
R=250
W=350

So whole wheat loaves is 350 and rye loaves is 250.

Let S = Sourdough, R = Rye, W = Whole wheat

Total leaves sold = S + R + W = 1000

S = 40% of 1000 = 400
S = R + 150 = 400

R = 400 - 150 = 250

S + R = 650

W = 1000 - 650 = 350.

An artisan bakery sells three types of bread: whole wheat, sourdough, and rye. In a certain month, sourdough sales account for 40% of the total loaves sold and exceed rye sales by 150 loaves.

If the bakery sold 1,000 loaves in that month, select for Whole wheat loaves the number of whole wheat loaves sold, and select for Rye loaves the number of rye loaves sold in that month. Make only two selections, one in each column.

Let rye = x

Sourdough = 40% of total = 400 breads.
x+150=400, so x=250

Rye = 250 breads, and remaining 350 breads are whole wheat.

The answer is wheat - 350 and Rye - 250

We have 2/5 of total = S

Total = S+R+W

T=1000

S=150+ R

Equating 2/5T = 150+R
R=250

S=150+250 = 400

1000 = 400+250+W
W=350

Where W is wheat, S is sourdough and R is rye and T is total

[*]The total number of loaves sold is 1,000, and 40% of them are sourdough, so Sourdough loaves=0.40×1000=400
Sourdough loaves=0.40×1000=400.

[*]Sourdough exceeds rye sales by 150 loaves,

so Rye loaves=Sourdough loaves−150=400−150=250
Rye loaves=Sourdough loaves−150=400−150=250.

[*]The remaining loaves are whole wheat,

so Whole wheat loaves=1000−Sourdough loaves−Rye loaves
=1000−400−250=350
Whole wheat loaves=1000−Sourdough loaves−Rye loaves
=1000−400−250=350.

Total sales equals 1000
Sourdough Sales equal 40% that is 400
Rye Sales equals 400-150 that is 250
Whole wheat equals 1000 -400-250. That is 350.

Answer 350 and 250

Let W, S, R be the bread types whole wheat, sourdough, rye.
W+S+R = 1000 --->( 1 )
S/1000 = 0.4 => S = 400
Given, R + 150 = 400 => R = 250
From ( 1 ), W = 1000 -(400 + 250) = 350

Total loaves sold is 1000. Of these 40% are SD i.e. 400. Rye is 150 less than SD so Rye is 250. Remaining 350 Loaves are Whole Wheat.

We have, total loaves sold in that month = 1000.
Sourdough accounts for 40% total loaves sold => Sourdough = 40%*1000 = 400 loaves.
Sourdough exceeds Rue by 150 loaves => Rye = 400 - 150 = 250 loaves.
Wholewheat = Total - Sourdough - Rye = 1000 - 400 - 250 = 350.

Let sourdough sales (s), rye sales(r), and Whole-wheat sales (w).

Given s = 0.4(s+r+w).
s = r+150.
s+r+w =1000, So s=400.
r=250.
w=350.

Answer is Whole wheat loaves = 350 and Rye loaves = 250.

If the bakery sold 1,000 loaves in total and 40% of the total = sourdough, then sourdough = 40% x 1,000 = 400 loaves.
If sourdough exceed rye by 150 loaves, then rye = 400 - 150 = 250 loaves.
That leaves the remaining loaves to be whole wheat = 1,000 - (400 + 250) = 350 loaves.
