I think Paradosso's score is understated. 47Q, 45V should be around a 740, not a 710. That's what I think, however, his official score may differ from my estimate, but I wouldn't expect it to differ by a whopping 30 points.

And definitely, compared to mine Paradosso's score seems low. :?:
I wonder if timing caused the difference in these scores? I had 5 minutes left at my last Quant question and 2+ minutes left for my last Verbal question.

I don't think timing has an impact on GMAT scores, most people bleed their time down to the last second to maximize mental awareness. I think they only count correct and incorrect answers

Best Prep Materials: The Official Guide for GMAT Review (the yellow book)

Started by using the Kaplan book which scared me into thinking I wasn't doing so well. Then when I hit the real questions, they seemed easier...or at least the scoring did. It was kind of like swinging a weighted bat in the on-deck circle (a baseball reference for non-Americans).

No classes. Just those two books. And the official practice tests, of course.

gmat score: 710 (92%) 44Q (70%) 42V (95%) 4.0 AWA (make sure you look at this section of the exam before the night before the exam. i'm an idiot.)
date: 11/21/08
best materials: gmat club tests by far (i always thought people who said these were the best materials worked for gmatclub under anonymous usernames. i do not work for gmatclub. they really are legit. $79 is nothing compared to $100k tuition.)
