i think it is answer B , should not we substract the 4 k to 70k and then substract the 66k to the 40 k getting salvage value of 26k.

Lets remove 4 zeros for both value and miles and solve this problem on a sub-micro scale.

and plot this in 2-D graph . y-axis is value, x-axis is miles.

Cargo 1 passes through (0,7) and (16.5,4)
y=1.2x/20+5.2

Cargo 2 passes through (0,5.2) and (20,4)
y=(3x/16.5)+7

solve for x: gives x approx 2.2/(slightly less than 0.5)=110+...

as per assumed scaling , closest ans is D
