Out of the core faculty, I found Vrinda Kadiyali's enthusiasm outstanding - definitely would enjoy taking a class with her.

I sat in Vrinda's strategy class when I visited in late Novemeber. It was downright terrible. IHTG sat in the same class a few weeks earlier and he came to the same independent conclusion. I sat in the "intro strategy" course at Columbia and Duke, so those are my reference points. Those classes were frickin awesome.

Personally I think the core professors/classes are going to be miserable. The only one that seemed solid was the accounting guy (although I'm exempt from that class by default). After the weekend, the core is probably the biggest negative that I have about the school.

Not sure...I need to detox a little bit.

I didn't leave until Monday (read: went out again on Sunday night->Monday morning) and I think my blood alcholol level hasn't returned to zero yet.

Prior to the trip, I was 95% Ross. After the trip, the margin has shrunk significantly.

The sheet doesn't list what immersion each person took. It lists the company where a student received an offer and his/her job function. I tallied these up for IB, IM, and consulting when I was waiting for my delayed flight out of Ithaca.

Yeah, its a tough year and they said numerous times that consulting may get even worse because they have a 6 month lag behind other careers in an ailing economy.

Yup, that stats is a bit disheartening.
However, it doesn't take into effect of some ppl who went for internal consulting, and the smaller class size of 270.

Either way, even Cornell itself admits that this year is the worst that they have seen.
Would be interesting if we can get some UE school placement stats to compare, percentage wise and stuff.

Has anyone gone through the Cornell background check yet? Do they start it after the first deposit of $1,500? or does it begin after the second deposit is sent in?

I made the 1500 deposit and I received an email stating that Kroll will do a background check but I haven't heard anything else about it.
