anyone thinking about not going to DJ because of the associated costs? for me i think it will come to about.........400-600$ including transportation for my significant other. i'm wondering if it's really worth it...i've already toured sage, i've already sat in on a class, and i already know what specialization i want to pursue. what are your thoughts?

Not going to Cornell, but I believe attending admit's weekend is definitely a great idea. (I plan on attending my school's admit weekend)

Although the cost of attending the event is high, think about all the info sessions, networking with future classmates, and other vital experience that you will be missing out on.

For example, you can get a head start on which clubs to join (by attending the club fairs), which classmates to make study groups with, which classmates to shun, where to live around the campus, etc.

I will personally attend Cornell admit weekend if I can just so I can hang out with Raabend. That experience is priceless.

It will be a great way to make friends! From talking to current students it seems like those who did not attend DJ regret it. And I am sooooooo fun. Like sooooooooooooooooooo fun.

Congrats to everyone admitted!

I will be attending Cornell in the fall, but to get my MA in City & Regional Planning at the School or Art, Architecture, and Planning. I have just about 3 yrs of WE in land development, and will probably apply to Johnson my first semester (dual degree).

I had planned on graduating, then working for a bit, but thought the dual degree made much more sense considering I was going to be at Cornell anyway (a great b-school).

What kind of industries is it most well known for placing students in?

I'm most interested in consulting, do they place well in that?

did anyone hear anything about kroll after that e-mail from johnson? Are we supposed to reach out to them/do something proactive or just sit tight and wait until they reach out to us?

Havent heard anything......the email made it seem like we have to sit tight. "We will contact you in the very near future with additional instructions on initiating the background check process."

Did any of you opt to stay with a current student for DJ weekend?

If so, have you heard anything from them regarding name of student you're staying with, contact info, etc.?

I'm thinking I should have done this. I want to test the Ithaca bars and I'm sure my student host wouldn't like me stumbling in at 2 in the morning... or whenever the Ithaca bars close.
