I will be at DJ.

I registered after March 6 but contacted the student coordinators and asked for a host. They got back to me right away and assigned me someone.

I opted for a student host because I figured students live closer to the bars...hopefully I won't make an ass of myself. Look forward to meeting all of you :)

Guys, add me to the list.

Definitely not making my ultimate decision before I attend DJ.

Anyone will get to Ithaca from Manhattan? I will be staying at Midtown Manhattan prior to leaving for Johnson and will take Johnson's campus2campus bus if noone else will drive to Ithaca. I may be a good co-pilot :)

The DJ weekend was an absolute blast and I really enjoyed meeting all the current & new students.
I don't really have any entertaining news from the weekend since there wasn't any public displays of outrageous drunkenness (though most everyone had a lot to drink each night).

I did manage to get my winter coat stolen at a bar on Friday night. That was awesome since the high temp was 40 degrees on Saturday and it rained all day. Apparently the bar we were at is known for coat stealing, so I learned a valuable lesson about Ithaca bars. 4 years in Michigan and never got a coat stolen, 1 day in Ithaca and coat was gone.

Dinos. I was told that undergrads just take whatever coats they want at bars. stupid kids.
Also, never wear a black pea coat. They are an apparent target (too bad I learned that a little too late).

One girl I met told me she now has her name and phone number sewn into her coats...

I went back to the hotel for a 1 hour nap on Saturday and by the time I came out to drive back to campus the entire ground was covered in snow..........I had to use my scraper to remove all the snow from my car. Then I drove 2 miles back to campus and there was no snow at all.
